LeeLoo in Changsha OrphanageApril 18, 2005

LeeLoo was born February 10, 2004 the year of the Monkey in Hunan Province, China.   She is currently residing at Changsha Orphanage #1 until we get permission to travel and bring her home, hopefully in the beginning of June.

LeeLoo's Chinese name was Gui Yu Xin meaning Jade and Happy and we were happy to incorporate it into her official name. Sounds like gwe union single.

Her caregivers say she is outgoing and likes to laugh.  She can sit by herself and stand with support and walk if she's holding your hand.  She is happy and friendly when she sees familiar people and she babbles "Ah, Wee" a lot!  She likes to listen to music and wiggles her body when she hears it.  She also likes playing with cars and loves her seesaw.   Joy joy - I didn't get a girlie girl!

Currently she has 6 teeth - 4 on top and 2 on bottom.
Her weight is 8 kg = 17.6 lbs
Her height is 74cm = 29"

We received a wonderful surprise !!!!!

Updated photos and information from the orphanage.  This information is from 4-21-05.

She now has 7 teeth -
4 on top and 3 on bottom.

Her weight is now 9.5 kg = 20.9 lbs Her height is now 75cm = 29.5"

Cory is thrilled that she can
make the sound of "Dad".
I like the fact that she also tries to say "Jie Jie" (older sister in Chinese) - I think she's giving hints!
